Jon Wilson Photography is proud to achieve Silver certification

in the City of Ames Smart Business Challenge.

As a Silver member of the Challenge, we at Jon Wilson Photography strive to be environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable and provide exceptional service to our customers. In this accomplishment, we have taken action in:

• Energy Efficiency through LED lighting, LED speed lights for photo lighting, auto sleep and shut off mode on computers, and using smaller cameras that use less energy.
• Transportation through carpooling clients to offsite shoots when feasable, using digital communication, and offering virtual meetings.
• Indoor Environment through using gentle cleaners such as Ms. Myers and Blueland.
• Purchasing through sending all invoices and photographs digitally, purchasing second hand furniture and props, shopping locally as a priority, and using digital galleries for clients instead of providing physical samples.
• Waste Diversion through recycling and using second hand props.
• Customer Relations through promoting outdoor environments as a back drop, and providing digital invoices, communication, and advertising.
• Community Relations through volunteering services for local events and businesses such as ISU, Mucky Duck Pub, and Grand Stand Concerts at the Iowa State Fair. Also by donating photography sessions for local fundraisers such as Hawks Night Out.
